Earlier this month we received exciting news we can now share, and that’s Becoming a Queen was selected for the 2021 Baltimore International Black Film Festival! It’s so joyful and celebratory anytime you receive an acceptance letter from a festival and I couldn’t be more honoured to be apart of this year’s edition!
Running from October 6th to 11th, 2021, BIBFF “promotes and celebrates culturally significant films directed, produced, and staring African American and members of the African Diaspora”, as stated on their website. This makes it the fourth film festival to date Queen will have screened in and the second U.S. based festival after the world premiere at the Roxbury International Film Festival back in July.
Becoming a Queen will be screened on BIBFF’s virtual theatre platform (due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic) on Friday October 8th 4:38PM EDT. For viewers in the Virginia, DC, and Maryland you can find tickets to the virtual screening here.
