This blog post is a bit belated, as there has been so much going on leading up to and post the Canadian premiere of Becoming a Queen at CaribbeanTales. However, one of the media outlets that covered the film was the Caribbean Camera. The Caribbean Camera is a staple in Black and Caribbean communities in Canada. As stated on their website, “The Caribbean Camera continues to be a driving force in promoting positive multicultural values across Canada and it’s constantly growing. It is the only ethnic newspaper that has been a member of the Queen’s Park Press Gallery and is often consulted on Canadian politics.”
