It’s been a while since our website was updated and since that time, Callowgrove Entertainment has had three projects newly released. A documentary titled HairStory: Taking Root, a short film sponsored by ARRI called Better Strangers, and a music video from Dexta Daps “No Underwear” are all apart of our updated showcase. (Talk about variety!). The three new projects can be viewed below.
HAIRSTORY: TAKING ROOT
A documentary that began in 2016 and spanned nearly three years was launched last week in Regent Park’s Daniels Spectrum community arts and cultural hub, as a visual narrative accompanying a report entitled HairStory: Rooted. The report documents lived experiences of Black and Indigenous youth in Ontario Systems of care makes 16 recommendations for areas of major improvement. Huffington Post covers the launch in this article.
BETTER STRANGERS
Ethan and Sam meet at a bar after using new dating app, their night is unforgettable, one for the ages. But is this first date really what it seems?
Better Strangers is a short film in partnership with ARRI and Ontario Camera, testing and showcasing the new ARRI Signature Prime lenses.
Dexta Daps “No Underwear”
Nearing 2 million videos since its Valentine’s Day release last month, this steamy music video has been sending Dexta Daps fans in a frenzy. Don’t play this one around children and make sure your boss isn’t looking over your shoulder if you’re watching this at work!
