CASTING CALL
Callowgrove Entertainment, Ryan Singh Enterprises and Environics Institute have teamed up in the production of The Black Experience Project Documentary, which coupled with hard data of the research results, tells personal stories of strengths, successes and challenges of the Black Community within the GTA. Here is your chance to get involved as we are casting for non-interview roles.
You DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ACTOR OR PERFORMER. In fact, we want a wide variety of people from professionals, artists/actors, kids, students and retirees, who identify wholly or partially as Black and reflect the diverse lifestyles of Black Community within Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
We want to capture YOU IN YOUR ELEMENT whether it be at work, at home, within social/community gathers with family/friends, within your place of worship/spirituality or simply out and about in the city.
We are looking to represent the following:
-East West, North, South and Central Africa
-Black Scotian/Indigenous/Canadian/Generation
-Caribbean
-Afro-Latin American
-Black Francophone
-Biracial/Multiracial
-Black & Muslim/Christian/Jewish/Orthodox/Rastafarian/Buddhist/Spiritual/Non-Religious
-Black LGBTQ
-Children
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Record a simple and clear 30-60 second video (can be shot on your mobile device) introducing yourself, and tell us a little about who you are family wise, work wise, skills/talents, hobbies, activities/groups/sports you’re involved with and religious/spiritual faith groups you’re involved with if applicable. Please also include what area of the GTA you are based in.
Submit the video to blackexperiencetv@gmail.com with the subject line: "BEP SOC Casting."
Only those selected for filming will be contacted and scheduled.
Filming will take place between Thursday May 25th and Sunday May 28th 2017.
Each participant will only be needed for 1 hour maximum.
